Slashdot CSS Refresh Web Design
Not too long ago, popular tech news site Slashdot.org decided to give their website a much-needed facelift. They decided to open it up to their members, declaring that the best submission would be used as their new design. 400+ submissions later, Proxima Lab's entry was picked as one of the top eight. Then four. Then three. Eventually it came down to the final two, and we snagged the coveted 2nd place. Not quite there, but we'll take it.
via CmdrTaco (Slashdot Admin): "[Proxima Labs's] design definitely doesn't suffer from that problem. He has covered every detail that i would need"
The competition was specific in its rules: the HTML must not be affected; only the CSS can be altered. We did cheat a bit: we included some custom javascript to fancy-up the menus a bit. Take a look.
